Max W. Stout, 61, who had been in the dry cleaning business here most of his life, died Friday morning at 9 o'clock in his home, 1803 Eastwood. He had been in failing health three years and seriously ill several days. Born July 20, 1897, in Crawfordsville, Mr. Stout was the son of David and Martha Stout. He married Nettie McKamey in Crawfordsville Feb. 7, 1925. Mr. Stout was a member of the Church of Christ and the POS of A Lodge. He also was an elder in the church until his health failed. Except for seven years spent in Jamestown, N.Y., he has always lived in Crawfordsville. Survivors include the widow, a son, Richard A. Stout of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Kin White of Tallahassee, Fla., and two granddaughters, Susan Kay and Sandra Jo Stout. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Bright Funeral Home. Gene B. Strouss, pastor of the Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday.
